Dr. Justin Rineer is a board-certified and fellowship-trained radiation oncologist at the Orlando Health Cancer Institute. He strives to work with the entire oncology team to provide the best possible care, taking a personal approach to educating patients on their diagnoses and care so they are informed and fully engaged in treatment decisions.

He specializes in:

Dr. Rineer’s Training

Dr. Rineer earned his medical degree at State University of New York – Downstate in Brooklyn, graduating magna cum laude. He completed a residency in radiation oncology at State University of New York – Downstate, where he served as chief resident. He completed a fellowship in advanced radiation oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, where he gained extensive experience in applying advanced medical technologies to lung cancer and other thoracic malignancies.

About Dr. Rineer

Dr. Rineer is board-certified in radiation oncology by the American Board of Radiology.

He has presented his original research at top national and international meetings, including the American Society of Radiation Oncology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. His primary research interests include improving outcomes in lung and head and neck cancer by combining multiple treatments.

His professional memberships include the American Society of Clinical Oncology, International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer and American Society for Radiation Oncology.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family, traveling, cooking, scuba diving, basketball and soccer. He is fluent in English and French.
