Julio Hajdenberg, MD, serves as chairman of the Department of Medical Oncology and Hematology as well as the section leader for Genitourinary Oncology and Nonmalignant Hematology at UF Health Cancer Center — Orlando Health.

Dr. Hajdenberg joined UF Health Cancer Center — Orlando Health in 2004. He is board-certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology. He currently holds academic appointments at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine and Florida State University College of Medicine.

Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Hajdenberg received his medical degree from the Universidad de Buenos Aires in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He completed his medical internship and residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey/Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He fulfilled a fellowship in hematology and oncology at Harvard Medical School in Boston, where he served as a clinical instructor.

Dr. Hajdenberg received training awards from the American Association for Cancer Research and American Society of Clinical Oncology. He is a fellow with the American College of Physicians, and a member of the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. He has served on the board of the Florida Society of Clinical Oncology.

His clinical research interests include cancers of the prostate, kidney and bladder, as well as some hematological neoplasms, such as lymphomas, Hodgkin's disease and chronic leukemias. He serves as the principal investigator on multiple cancer clinical trials involving those conditions.
